Conway Twitty (Thank you, Family Guy)

I do not know why but I have recently found myself tickled to death by Conway Twitty. For those of you who do not know him, Conway Twitty was a Country artist and is ranked in the Top Ten of the Best Country Artists of All Time (At least that was what I found in a cursory search on the internet). He released at least 25 number 1 hits, according to the album I have, with great titles such as "Linda On My Mind" and "After the Fire is Gone." He even released hilarious and lewd titles, such as "I'd Love to Lay You Down," "I See the Want To in Your Eyes," "Red Neckin' Love Makin' Night," and my personal favorite, "Tight Fittin' Jeans."

I do not know why I have been listening to him as of late. Maybe it has to due with the fact that he appears (twice) in the Family Guy episode "Bill and Peter's Bogus Journey." Maybe I just have a secret love affair with the twang in Country music (I do not like Country music in general, though I like certain artists like Johnny Cash).

So, here's to you, Conway Twitty (RIP), for having the best name I have ever heard, and for making some of the best hilarious and twangy Country music to date. Seriously, I do like your music though.

I encourage you to take this wonderful plunge into twang by listening to Conway Twitty (Listen here).

He is well worth your time (whether you like Country music, or find it hilariously dumb).

  1. It's not bad. It's a lot more tasteful than Cuntry Boner by Puscifer hehehe.
